In looking further at the The Alice Kerr-Sutherland Association yahoo group, they have a number of polls that appear somewhat different, and interesting.
Many readers enjoy voting in a poll, so I thought I should start doing more polls again.
Obviously, everyone is imaginative, so if your favorite(whether to spank with or be spanked with) is not here, you could always add a comment about your personal favorite.

Ah! Sara, I doubt the two would often agree, at least at the exact time of the impending spanking! But that's at least half the fun of it all, isn't it? I picked "switch" but that's just what appealed to me at the precise moment. I'm not currently being spanked nor spanking Dante, so my answers are really irrelevant right now.
But I will stick with my opinion that the spanker and spankee probably don't "agree" as often as you might think, when it actually comes to any given spanking session.
I also must say that both of their "favorites" probably change and ebb and flow just as much, based on their mood, that of their partner, the timing of the spanking, the desired effect, etc.

It is a very difficult choice. I voted for hand, because this is the most erotic as far as I am concerned, but I also enjoy the cane, tawse and hairbrush! Also it does depend upon the mood of the moment.
Sara: Definitely at the moment of the spanking, if it is for discipline, the spanker most assuredly would prefer a gentler implement.
Tiggs: Definitely the spanker's mood determines the implement.

My girlfriend is a cane lover. She told me that a cane can teach me a fast lesson. After 24 strokes I am in tears and for a few days I am very able to remember that very painfull lesson. Altough she is a very loving woman, whe she is punishing me, she is really strict and merciless.

Joe, my wife prefers the hairbrush, as for what I prefer, I’m the one getting a spanking, I have no vote.
The palm of the hand is very good for quick warnings: "Naughty boy! SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! SMACK!" For a hard spanking the paddle is better though. It saves my partner from hurting her hand and it is very effective. No sitting down for the next few hours!

again great site; her hand is always used by my wife, also a paddle and bath brush, no marks but a sound spanking...…….both are erotic but if I cum before she is done the bath brush really stings, and she wants me to save it for later.
